Full Steam Ahead! Southwest Partnership’s First Annual Meeting
The Southwest Partnership's first annual meeting was a great success! Over 100 community members came out to the B&O Railroad Museum Roundhouse to eat, drink, mingle, and learn about what the Southwest Partnership has accomplished in 2015 and what our goals are for 2016.
The wonderful photographs of the event are by Matt Achhammer, a Hollins Market based photographer. Visit his website: http://www.canyoupicturethat.com/ to view more of his work.
2016 goals include:
Making W Baltimore St a Main Street, placing 250 area residents in local jobs, renovating Hollins Market so that it is a destination and resource for the community, placing signage throughout the area at historically and culturally important sites, ensuring that all children in the area have access to quality and enriching out of school time programs, identifying a developer and having funding in place for housing developments in Mount Clare and Franklin Square, and improving the security and appearance of the Carey St Bridge Underpass.
To make these goals happen we will need your help! For more information about getting involved with the Southwest Partnership and helping us achieve our goals for our community please visit our Get Involved page!
