Training Program Recruitment
In 2016, as part of the Mayor’s Office Employment Development One Baltimore For Jobs grant, the Southwest Partnership partnered with free job training programs in Baltimore City to recruit residents for great opportunities to learn real, marketable skills. These included Project Jumpstart which provides pre-apprenticeship training in construction; the BioTechnical Institute of Maryland which provides lab-technician training; Civic Works which provides training in brownfields remediation, weatherization, and solar panel installation; Humanim which provided administrative assistant and medical assistant training; and Bon Secours Community Works which providse CNA/GNA training.
